Buju Banton, 2011 Grammy award winner "best reggae album" for "Before the Dawn" was found guilty by a Florida jury on cocaine conspiracy charges.
According to the associated press, Mark Myrie (real name) has been found guilty conspiring to deal cocaine. The reggae singer, who was convicted openly was accused of brokering a deal in Dec 2009 with two other men. He was found guilty 11 hours after jury deliberation, of conspiracy to posses cocaine with intent to distribute it and possession of firearms and its use to facilitate drug trafficking.
