Wow! This video is unique and lovely. Waje's hit single "So Inpired" was released October 2010 and since then enjoyed massive airplay in Nigeria and across Africa as a whole.

The much anticipated video was due to be released online on 04/04/2011 but leaked on International TV platforms MTV Base and SoundCity on Tuesday. The video which features "Muna" explains in detail the meaning of the song.(the video makes sense).

According to "Waje", her aim is to inspire young people, most especially females to continuously aspire for greatness regardless of drawbacks in their environment and life in general.

ROTI FT GUCCI MANE - BOTTLES

Rotimi whose first single "Beautiful Music" was in 2010 got nominated for Africa's Sound City for fresh video of the year. The US born Nigerian R&B artiste features American rap superstar "Gucci Mane", on his new single "Bottles".

The artiste has released only three major songs, all within a year. The first "Beautiful Music", second is "Already Know" which features Dawn Richard from Diddy's "dirty money" and the third 'Forever".

"Rotimi" is a promising artiste and we can just pray he keeps the fire burning.

ARISING CONTROVERSY: Music & Politics

Recently one of Nigeria"s finest and definitely one of the greatest of his generation "Dapo Oyebanjo" popularly known as "D'banj" conducted an interview for the president of the federal republic of Nigeria "GEJ" President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR.

A lot of people were quick to criticize D'banj because of the statement made earlier by the president on the southwestern politicians describing them as "rascals" which did not go down well with the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN). The people of the southwest stated and said it was a direct insult on the Yoruba race and an indirect insult on their fathers who raised them.

For some they say its business as usual for D'banj taking a que from P-square, Terry G and Mo'cheddah who earlier performed for the president. On the other hand, the opposition party "ACN" have other acts like 2face, Sound Sultan, Banky W, Wizkid, legendary fuji musician like Wasiu Ayinde and Adewale Ayuba pitching their tents for the ACN.

 The continuous 'nod' to the answers of the president GCFR , Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan depicts a stage managed act on the part of D'banj.

It is only left for you the masses to judge but as for me, 'musicians' have started to play 'politics'.

ETCETERA - RING THE ALARM

Etcetera released the video of his "Ring the Alarm song" from his sophomore album titled "Yes I Am". The video created in an animated concept depicts the ills of the society and the contempt by those we call our "leaders". 

A settled mind would listen to the pain in "Etcetera's" voice as he wails and sings warning about the "theif in the Government house".

R.I.P "NATE DOGG" - AMERICAN MUSICIAN

Nathaniel Dwayne Hale popularly known as "Nate Dogg" gave up the ghost late last night. The West Coast rap legend has suffered two strokes prior to his death, one in 2007 and another in 2008, but the main cause of his death is yet unknown.
"Nate Dogg" died at the age of 41 on March 15, 2011 in Long Beach, California.
May his soul rest in perfect peace......
